The Prince Golf Course began a renovation project in September 2010. This included re‐sprigging our greens and renovating the bunkers. To finish these improvements, the course will be closed for approximately 5 months with a reopening planned for Summer 2011. The last day of play will be January 28, 2010. The Tavern Restaurant by Roy Yamaguchi and Prince Golf Shop, which features a variety of logo and resort wear, will continue to operate during the renovation.
The project will include a renovation of all bunkers and greens, replacing the original Tifdwarf Bermuda grass with a Sea Shore Paspalum hybrid. The grass is eco‐friendly; requiring less fertilizer, water and a decreased use of herbicides. In addition, the new greens will provide a more consistent and faster putting surface for our guests.
Please be advised that from January 29, 2011 to our re-opening target of summer 2011 the Prince Golf Shop's operating hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday.
