The Bali Hai Villas saw many projects during 2010 and 2011. Our original pool area was completely refurbished including repairs to the tile bottom, complete replacement of our stone pool deck, and new pool furniture and umbrellas. The cabana was repainted and parts of the pool area landscape were re-done. Additional BBQ grills were added to both pools giving us 3 BBQ areas on property with lighting installed. Carpentry repairs to our stairways and lanais on six buildings were completed prior to being painted.
Tree trimming, root pruning and parking lot repairs were also completed this year to correct the buckling of our parking lot and sidewalks in the areas surrounding Monkey Pod and Indian Rubber trees on the resort. Resurfacing and painting of the Tennis Courts are completed.
Exterior projects included, wood repairs to lanai decks and stairwells.
During our fall meetings, the board approved the purchase of new LCD TVs for all of our living rooms and bedrooms. Lighted makeup mirrors were added to all units. They also approved the refurbishment of 48 units beginning in September 2012. These refurbishments, modeled after the newer units on the resort are expected to be completed by end of 2012. Included will be new laminate flooring, carpet, living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture. Artwork, lamps, and lanai furniture are also part of this project. Buildings 1,2,3,4 and 8 are scheduled for 2012. Our remaining units are planned to be refurbished in 2013 and possibly 2014.
Upcoming projects:
Wood repairs to lanai decks and stairwells continue. Drainage repairs and Steel trash enclosure gate frames with new slats installation throughout the property are scheduled. Buildings 1 through 4 are upgrading to the new key card system which will require new entry doors and this will be complete the entire resort with electronic key cards.
